Finally Back to My Store!

I think I walked to my store that morning, but I could be making that up. NOPE I didn’t. Lol I’m terrible. I did walk there, but on another day. I worked with my boss, who makes for an easy, but fun day when it’s just the two of us. I spoke some Spanish, gave a shingles shot, and went on with my day. I brought it up to him that I still hadn’t gotten paid for that one day of work at another store back in MAY (at this point, it was July 21) and I brought out my planner and showed him and he helped me take care of that (today is August 12 and I still don’t have that money...)

I also got a little nostalgic because 3 years ago on that day, my bestie told me she was pregnant! I can’t believe that stinker is 2 and a half. I also picked out my shower curtain and was excited to actually have to because the last 2 places didn’t have curtain rods. It lets me show a bit of my personality. Anyway. I went home and probably went to bed. Another exciting week ahead.

Short and Sweet

Because it is now almost a month since this day, and I honestly don’t remember. When that happens to me, I look at my calendar first. Then I look at my pictures and see what happened that day. The pictures from that day are basically shit I was trying to sell and a picture of me sweaty and gross. I must have played Just Dance. One roomie moved out this day. Shit. That’s jogging my memory.

I was quite content staying in bed for a while, but I started to hear stuff upstairs. Then I remembered my roomie was moving out. She was lucky to have her parents and brother come help and she said she was done within 4 hours. That’s awesome! I was hoping our move would be seamless as well, because at that point, I had already called to set up movers for next weekend. (We’ll get there).

First Friday (7/19)

I am being honest. I am so behind at this point I don’t remember any specifics about what had happened at site. The only big and special thing that happened on this day was that baby Stella was born! And now I am kicking myself for not having done/finished her baby blanket...even though it will never compare to the one her grandmother made for her!

Waste of a Day with CSU: Episode 1008

Since my preceptor let me have the day off, it felt so good to sleep in...until like 8:30. My roommate and I had to go to school to sign a form and this was when the director told us to come in and do it. I made a few grad decorations in the AM before we left, then we went around 11 (I believe!). Once we got to school, it was a ghost town because there aren’t students there now. We went into her office suite and the lights were off. Luckily, there was another professor in the office, so she texted her asking where she was, because she was under the impression she was off that day. Listen, I know that sounds confusing, but I am trying to keep this blog as ‘anonymous” as I can, so get over it. When she said she’s wasn’t coming, I was really pissed. SHE set the day for us to come, not us, and then she doesn’t show up?? We basically sat in an hour of traffic for nothing. I had sent her TWO emails confirming and asking for the best time to come in, but no response. I meannnnnn??? Anyway. She emailed us later and said she would be emailing the form to us...why she couldn’t do that from the beginning is beyond me, but whatever. So then I remember going home and that’s about it.

Hump day of Week 1

I’m gonna be completely honest here...I have no idea of the specifics that happened on this day (July 17), but I signed the lease on the new place on this day! I have a video of me singing to my sister on snap, so I must have gone to either HomeGoods or JoAnn’s because I was in the frozen yogurt place next door haha OH it was HG; I found the tissue holder by RD that I wanted and I was excited. I asked my preceptor to come in a little late because I had to be at school to sign a form the next day, and she said to take the day off. That was really cool to not have to set an alarm for the next day. Onward and upward!

Meet the Preceptor

Listen, these next few blogs are probably going to be short because I’m officially 2+ weeks behind now and I am trying to recall the shit thats all happened within that time. Please bear with me (clearly I am talking to my future self because nobody else reads this).

After having the kind of day I had for the first day, I was feeling so discouraged and didn’t know what to do. The preceptor was soooo much nicer than the pharmacist that was there yesterday, thank God. But going into it, it was...different? The day before, I had at least counted the scripts and set then aside for the pharmacist to check. This pharmacist was like, “did you fill it? Is it the right drug?” And moved on. I was like uhhhhhh I am just a child here, ma’am, please hold my hand because I have no business checking scripts. But the day progressed and I was checking all the scripts. The tech sometimes doesn’t do what the script says because “she knows insurance won’t cover it that way”, which I don’t really like, but the boss seems to be fine with it, so I just had to go with it too. I still had feelings of uneasiness with the whole thing, but I couldn’t say anything. The preceptor asked me questions to get to know me and my pharmacy experience which was cool. Then she asked where I was coming from and when I told her the north side, she let me go around 3:30.

Other than that, nothing major happened, but I remember looking into my paychecks as I still hadn’t been paid for that one day of work I did back in MAY. Annoying. And I got happy mail from BBB and wanted to plan my Disney trip right then and there.
