Meet the Preceptor

Listen, these next few blogs are probably going to be short because I’m officially 2+ weeks behind now and I am trying to recall the shit thats all happened within that time. Please bear with me (clearly I am talking to my future self because nobody else reads this).

After having the kind of day I had for the first day, I was feeling so discouraged and didn’t know what to do. The preceptor was soooo much nicer than the pharmacist that was there yesterday, thank God. But going into it, it was...different? The day before, I had at least counted the scripts and set then aside for the pharmacist to check. This pharmacist was like, “did you fill it? Is it the right drug?” And moved on. I was like uhhhhhh I am just a child here, ma’am, please hold my hand because I have no business checking scripts. But the day progressed and I was checking all the scripts. The tech sometimes doesn’t do what the script says because “she knows insurance won’t cover it that way”, which I don’t really like, but the boss seems to be fine with it, so I just had to go with it too. I still had feelings of uneasiness with the whole thing, but I couldn’t say anything. The preceptor asked me questions to get to know me and my pharmacy experience which was cool. Then she asked where I was coming from and when I told her the north side, she let me go around 3:30.

Other than that, nothing major happened, but I remember looking into my paychecks as I still hadn’t been paid for that one day of work I did back in MAY. Annoying. And I got happy mail from BBB and wanted to plan my Disney trip right then and there.
