The Day of Creams

I was in the lab again and it was a day I made a bunch of creams. Tuesdays are the only the day the boss isn’t in, so the tech usually lets me leave earlier than normal. She says I am there so often, so take advantage of him not being there. She usually only ‘schedules’ me until 3:30 anyway so I can catch the 3:50 train. So once I got done with my lunch, I basically didn’t do anything too labor intensive, just filled some orders with stuff that was already made. It was like 2:30 and she said, ‘do you want to just go now?’ I always feel bad leaving so early for like 5 seconds then I am like, ‘are you sure?’ She said yup, and I left. The landlord was showing our place at 4:30 and I knew I would make it just in time to see the people. I think they were coming out of our place as I was going in.

Because I got home so early, I set a goal to finish cutting out fabric for the quilt I’m making today and guess what...I finished! I’m sure my roommates were thrilled to not have that stuff on the table anymore, but lugging it up and down the stairs all the time just does not make sense. I finished up, made a veggie stock with veggie scraps, then made a couple of recipes I didn’t do on Sunday. I finished up kind of late, but still wanted to lay out my fabric to get an idea of what I want the quilt to look like...I love it. But for now, that’s gotta go on hold because I need to find a new apartment, and should be putting my efforts towards that.
