So we had to take an exam in January called the PCOA, which was supposed to test us on all of our didactic knowledge in pharmacy school. Now at this point in the semester, we still hadn’t learned antibiotics, HIV, or cancer. Our school kept saying how the exam would not count for any grade in any class, so most of us didn’t take it seriously. But anyway. We got an email a few weeks ago with our results and then all this shit they wanted us to do to make a learning plan because we didn’t perform at a certain standard. It is really annoying how they emphasized how this was not for any class, yet they now want us to do extensive learning plans. Well apparently, this was due 10 days ago...now that we’re not in class, they keep springing these deadlines on us and not mentioning them to us, so everything has been late. I finished it up yesterday after my lunch and just submitted it.
After that, I started reading my books for the week. I really don’t know how I am going to have time to finish two books a week, especially after having worked both days of the weekend. I honestly thought I would have MORE time 4th year because we’re not studying daily and stuff, but it’s been a few weeks now, and I still don’t have my shit together. Hopefully it all just falls into place, because I am not used to not having a structured schedule. I will get it together.
When the tech told me to go, I left to catch the train. Went to Joann’s (again) to get stuff to restick my Cricut mat, but that stuff didn’t work, so back to the drawing board. My roommates and I were going to dinner at the Chicago Oven Grinder place. I’d never been before. We waited about an hour for the table then about 30 minutes for the pizza. Honestly...not worth the hype. People rave about this place, but I wasn’t impressed. It was just ok pizza to me. Maybe I’m over deep dish and want NY style pizza. So once we sorted out the check, which was a shit show, we went for ice cream and then headed home. I watched a couple episodes of the Goldbergs while I was packing up an order for a friend, looked at a few places on Zillow, then headed to bed.
