So STILL playing catch up, but I am working on it! Woke up to bring my mom to work and then went back to bed for a bit. Bestie had texted me the day before asking if I wanted to go for a walk and browse houses. Backstory: we live <10 min from each other and used to meet up to bike every once in a while. There is a really nice gated community close by that we used to frequently ride through. One time, we brought my mom along. We rode through the neighborhood, and there was a house that was marked for open house. So we went in and browsed the house just because. Went through and pictured our lives in that house. So fun. Until my mom opened the wrong door and set the alarm off. It was so funny!! We ran out so fast. This happened maybe 10 years ago, but we still talk about it.
So when she asked me to go with her, that was the first thing I thought about. We ended up walking in a nearby community and I prayed to get a little more sun to even our this streaky arm tan situation I have going on. It was a great time. We talked a lot and then she made me emotional because I know she’s had my back since the beginning of my pharmacy journey, but hearing her say it and almost tear up talking about it made me feel proud. So once we walked and talked for a while, we went back to my house and just sat in the AC for a bit and rehydrated. It was damn hot that day. We were both hungry, so we decided to go have lunch. Chatted more there then went to Ross to look for a fanny pack (lol). She is heading to Europe during Thanksgiving break, so wanted one to hold her stuff. We are bad for each other shopping, but that’s ok. Then we walked over to Publix to grab wine for her and went home.
I laid down for a nap for a bit then had to go get mom from work. Picked her up, then showered and got ready to meet up with besties and my goddaughter for dinner. I went to pick up one of them then we headed that way, so we actually ended up being about 10 minutes late. We talked some more then had some food, and bestie went to the bathroom, came back, and said she felt like she was going to pass out. Other bestie is a nurse, so she grabbed the baby in one hand and told bestie to lay down and held her feet up with the other hand. She relaxed a bit then felt much better. We left and I went for a milkshake before I dropped bestie back off at her house. I went inside to see her mom and sister and let me tell you. I truly believe in the power of prayer. Her mom is a nurse as well, and I know she has a really great relationship with God. She has continued to pray for me and my journey for the years and she hugged me and said how happy for me she was that I finally have gotten to this point. We chatted more and I stayed over to watch some of the NBA Finals Game 1. I stayed until about the 3rd quarter then left because we were both tired. Watched a little more Riverdale when I got back, then went to bed.
